The Song of the Energy of the Nature of Existence (chos nyid rol pa’i glu) is a spiritual song that expresses in a few words the essence of the teaching of Dzogpa Chenpo (Great Perfection). The song is particularly meaningful for giving direct understanding of Dzogchen. Padma Dündul conceived it as advice addressed to two of his disciples, Semnyi Dorje (sems nyid rdo rje) and Longchen Dorje (klong chen rdo rje) which is one of the names of my master Changchub Dorje (byang chub rdo rje). It is not a simple intellectual exercise but a message from a being who communicates the state of unlimited freedom in which he is abiding.
